. Ian Gennari, grew
up in Riverside California in a Christian home. At the age of thirteen he
moved to Alaska and experienced a different life than most children of
today's society.
. A life of performance
continually followed him as he pursued baseball with all his heart. After
struggling after High school with longing to play baseball more than serve
his Lord, he felt a prodding to walk away from the life of performance and
pursue Christ with unselfish reckless abandon. Fortunately after a long
journey of studying Psalm 37:4 "delight in the Lord and He will give you
the desires of your heart" God blessed him with new desires that far
greater fulfilled him.
. After many long nights
of waking up and writing songs, but not being able to play an instrument,
Ian finally came home one night to a guitar and a note on his bed from his
wonderful bride. His wife wrote; "If the Lord is telling you to do
something you better do it" And the rest is history.
. Ian has always been
passionate about singing as he comes from a performing arts family and a
Dad who plays the guitar like James Taylor, but has struggled with
thinking he is adequate in something so fulfilling as worshipping the
Lord.
. Today he realizes
that when you are obedient, God replaces our desires with His, and that His
ways are not ours., Worship is the only place on this crazy planet
that makes sense, and that when God gives you a heart of worship it is
something that is impossible to hide in a closet. Praise the Lord for His
loving kindness and his mercy endures forever. Ian Gennari
